Artist Mark Burton was born in Melbourne and grew up in Victoria's Dandenong Ranges.

Mark has been painting all of his life, first in watercolors, later in oils, and now returning to watercolours in search of the 'surprises' they offer.

Mark's current work is strongly influenced by the lush tropical beauty of his home near Cairns in Far North Queensland.
